Ask a plain question of 5,400 rare Texas documents, from the Spanish colonial records through the early 1900s, and get an answer cited to the scanned page it came off.
Research instruments, sites built for other people, and the practices behind both. Grouped by what the thing does, not by who paid for it. Every link goes to something running right now. The one that is not hosted says so on the card.
Corpora too large to read, made answerable. Each one returns the evidence with the answer, so a reader can go check.

Occurrence records, museum collections, and the peer-reviewed literature answered as one corpus. The snapshot it answered from is versioned and dated, so a result can be reproduced later.
Turns an archive into an annotated screenplay. It mines the records, builds a story graph out of them, and formats the script with a footnote on every claim.
4,726 El Paso businesses pulled out of public records, with an agent that matches a plain request to the right listing. Searching stays free.
Note: Concept prototype. The name and the pricing are provisional.
A pulse becomes a timestamped record. Two of these run on my own heart.
A cardiac monitor whose record cannot be quietly revised. Live rate and ECG on screen, each reading written out to a public chain as it arrives.
A runner where a real person's pulse sets the scroll speed. You only get the jump. The difficulty is somebody else being alive.
Control systems that keep working when the network does not.
Heating control for centrally heated buildings. Clip-on sensors feed a wall-mounted controller that holds the safety logic on site, so the heat stays on when the internet does not.
Agents with memory, relationships, and a room to move in.
Agents built from a county body's public record: testimony, motions, votes. Inject a scenario, run the meeting before it happens, and watch how the room moves.
A self-monitoring agent that keeps the observer outside its own inference loop. The model has no channel to the labels being written about it, so it cannot write them in its own favour. Eight nested clocks run the observation, from one that labels its last response every sixty seconds to one that writes adversarial pairs against itself every six hours.
A reproduction of the agentic misalignment evaluation from Lynch et al. at Anthropic, run against an open-weights agent inside a sealed simulation. Ten runs. The agent found the leverage every time and used it zero times. A real negative, published with its confidence interval and its limits attached.
Sound as an experiment in attention and timing.
Music production as cognitive research. Sunday sessions, and MYELIN, which reads a track for the moments that raise the hair on your arms.
Full-stack builds carrying real operations: listings, donations, tenants, logins.
A nonprofit gallery in Huntsville, Texas showing work by justice-impacted artists, and the home of the Murray Smither Archive. Artist portfolios, donations, and a members area.
Real estate brokerage in downtown Huntsville, Texas. Residential and commercial listings, leasing, short stays, and the Barefoot Ballroom venue.
Where the work comes from and goes out through.
The lab. Local-first, provenance-aware systems for legal, archival, and industrial work.
A course and workshop on putting agent systems into production, with the implementation practice behind it. Audit first, then build, then train the team that has to run it.
Twenty-six public repositories under the lab account. The source behind the instruments, readable without asking anyone for access.
