Ghost Notes

Forty-seven seconds, and the closest thing on this page to a music video. Ghost Notes is a rhythm game: six lit pads on an arc, a figure standing in the middle of them, and the lyric of the track scrolling under the frame as you play.

The cut is a rider in the passenger seat with the game on a phone, playing along while the song runs. Landscape footage sits inside a portrait frame with the lyric in the band below it. The title card at the end puts the name over the arc.

There is no link to give you yet. The album the track comes off is finished, and the game goes out around the drop, with events before that. Until then it stays a clip.

This one is the C-Cell side of the lab. The pattern that shows up in a control loop shows up in a drum loop, and a game that asks you to hit the note on time is the same instrument as a meter that asks whether the reading is true.

Recorded on a phone, hosted on this site. Nothing on this page loads from YouTube.
