PREDICTIVE BEAT MAPPER

Predicts beat placement and rhythmic structure from incomplete audio.

Given audio that is not finished, the model proposes where the beats land and what the rhythmic structure underneath them is. It was trained against a Beat Saber pattern corpus and C-Cell production data, which is to say against maps a person actually played and records a person actually released.

It is the automatic half of a pair. The beat map editor is the human authoring tool; this is the model that proposes a map so the human is editing rather than starting from nothing.

The transfer is the point. A beat map is a timing problem with a person at the end of it, and so is a fault prediction. Both are asking what happens next and how much warning someone gets.
